- use AI features to create malware, phishing, scams, impersonation, deepfakes, non-consensual intimate content, unlawful content, manipulative content, or content intended to deceive, exploit or harm others;
- resell, sublicense, frame, mirror, commercially exploit or provide access to the Service without our written consent.
We may investigate and act against suspected misuse even where the conduct occurs partly outside Teamstar if it affects Teamstar, our users, our systems, our reputation, our legal position or platform safety.
7) Content and licences
“Your Content” means anything you submit, upload, post, message, publish, display, transmit, import, generate, select, approve or otherwise make available through the Service, including text, images, video, audio, files, links, profile information, prompts, responses, feedback, comments, posts, project material and metadata you cause to be created.
You retain ownership of Your Content, subject to rights held by others.
You grant Teamstar a worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, cache, process, adapt, modify, format, translate, analyse, transmit, display, publish, distribute, index, rank, recommend, moderate, promote, create derivative works from and otherwise use Your Content as reasonably required to operate, secure, provide, personalise, improve, develop, market and support the Service.
This licence includes use for:
- hosting and displaying content according to your settings;
- search, feeds, ranking, recommendations and discovery;
- AI-assisted structuring, classification, summarisation, matching and moderation;
- profile chipsets, trust signals, analytics and product improvement;
- backups, logging, safety, abuse prevention and legal compliance;
- customer support, troubleshooting, debugging and security;
- promoting Teamstar features or content within the Service, unless your settings or a written agreement say otherwise.
You confirm that you have all rights necessary to grant this licence.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you consent to Teamstar doing acts that may otherwise infringe moral rights in Your Content, but only for the purposes described in these Terms.
We have no obligation to store, preserve, back up, display, distribute or return Your Content. Deleted content may remain in backups, logs, cached copies, legal records, safety systems, messages already sent to others, derived non-identifiable data, or places where other users have copied or shared it.
8) Feedback licence
If you provide ideas, suggestions, feature requests, bug reports, designs, product concepts, naming, UI ideas, improvement notes or other feedback, you grant Teamstar a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to use it for any purpose without restriction, attribution, payment or obligation to you.
Do not provide feedback you want treated as confidential unless we have signed a separate written confidentiality agreement.
9) Community standards and Constitution-driven systems
Teamstar is designed to prioritise constructive participation, evidence-informed discussion, collaboration, learning, opportunity discovery and practical progress.
We may use human review, automated tools and AI-assisted systems to:
- prompt users to reframe hostile, repetitive, unproductive or low-signal content;
- classify content, users, profiles, intent, skills, behaviours and interactions;
- prioritise, rank, recommend, downrank or limit visibility of content;
- detect spam, manipulation, abuse, misinformation, fraud, impersonation or safety risk;
- remove, restrict, label or disable content, features or accounts;
- enforce the Constitution, community standards and these Terms.
This is a discretionary product and safety function. You do not have a right to any particular ranking, visibility, amplification, recommendation, match, badge, trust signal, label, prompt, audience size or moderation outcome.
Downranking, limiting reach, removal, warning, suspension, verification review or refusal to amplify content is not a breach of these Terms and does not entitle you to compensation.
10) AI-assisted features
Teamstar may provide AI-assisted features, including drafting, rewriting, summarisation, search assistance, profile structuring, chipset extraction, recommendations, matching, moderation support, trust/safety support, translation, idea refinement, project structuring and workflow assistance.
AI features are tools only. They are not human judgment, professional advice, legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, employment advice, migration advice, safety advice, psychological advice, investment advice, tax advice, engineering certification, compliance advice or an authority on truth.
AI outputs may be wrong, incomplete, outdated, biased, offensive, duplicated, unsuitable, unlawful, infringing, misleading or unsafe.
You are solely responsible for:
- reviewing and verifying AI outputs before relying on them;
- deciding whether an AI output is suitable for your use;
- ensuring your prompts, inputs, uploaded material and use of outputs comply with law and these Terms;
- obtaining professional advice where required;
- making final decisions using human judgment.
Do not input highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, regulated, personal, health, financial, employment, government, security or trade-secret information into AI features unless you have authority, a lawful basis and are comfortable with the processing described in our Privacy Policy and any AI notices.
Teamstar does not guarantee that AI outputs are unique, protectable by intellectual property law, non-infringing, accurate, confidential, secure or suitable for commercial use.
Similar or identical outputs may be generated for other users.
We may monitor, log, filter, restrict, block, review or remove AI inputs and outputs for safety, security, quality, legal compliance, abuse prevention, product improvement or operational reasons.
11) Automated classification, chipsets, matching and recommendations
Teamstar may use information you provide, infer or approve, and information generated from your activity, to create or update structured attributes such as chipsets, interests, skills, goals, profile type, intent, availability, trust signals, relevance signals and recommended matches.
These systems may influence:
- onboarding;
- profile structure;
- search visibility;
- feed ranking;
- recommendations;
- suggested collaborators, mentors, study partners, employers, candidates, projects or groups;
- trust, safety and abuse-prevention signals;
- feature access or prompts.
These systems are not guarantees of quality, suitability, truth, identity, character, professional competence, job fitness, hiring fitness, academic fitness, investment worthiness, compatibility or future performance.
You must independently verify any person, role, project, claim, opportunity, credential or recommendation before relying on it.
12) Identity, verification and trust signals
If Teamstar offers verification, badges, trust signals or account labels, they are limited platform signals only.
They do not guarantee that a person or organisation is trustworthy, safe, competent, qualified, solvent, honest, lawful, employable, suitable, available, endorsed by Teamstar or free from risk.
We may grant, refuse, change, revoke, hide or review verification or trust signals at any time.
You remain responsible for your own due diligence.
13) Jobs, recruiting, mentoring, study, startup and opportunity features
Teamstar may support recruitment, career discovery, mentoring, study groups, startup collaboration, project formation, research collaboration, professional networking and opportunity discovery.
Teamstar is not, unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement:

- investment adviser;
- financial adviser;
- legal adviser;
- escrow service;
- payment intermediary;
- insurer;

We do not guarantee that:
- any user will get a job, hire, investor, mentor, student, cofounder, collaborator, customer, funding, qualification, project outcome or business result;
- any candidate, employer, founder, mentor, student, investor, project, startup or opportunity is legitimate, lawful, suitable, safe or successful;
- any user-provided credentials, experience, references, qualifications, salary, compensation, right-to-work status, corporate authority, job offer, investment claim or opportunity claim is accurate.
Employers, recruiters, candidates, founders, mentors, students and collaborators are responsible for their own checks, contracts, compliance, tax, workplace, safety, discrimination, privacy, employment, migration and professional obligations.
14) Public and private communications
Content you post publicly or to groups may be seen, saved, copied, shared, indexed, quoted or used by others.
Private messages, groups or restricted spaces are not guaranteed to be confidential against recipients, screenshots, lawful access, technical access, reports, safety review, moderation, support or legal compliance.
Do not share information through Teamstar unless you are permitted to share it and accept the risk of disclosure.
15) Subscriptions, trials and payments
If Teamstar offers subscriptions, paid features, premium access, business accounts, investor access, enterprise access, events, services or trials:

- you authorise applicable charges and taxes;
- failure to pay may result in suspension, downgrade or termination;
- trial features may change, expire or convert according to the trial terms;
- price or plan changes apply prospectively unless otherwise stated.
Refunds are provided only as required by law or as stated in the applicable plan terms.
16) Third-party services
Teamstar may use or integrate third-party services, including hosting, analytics, identity, authentication, communication, AI, payment, storage, mapping, video, search, social, productivity, cloud, security and developer services.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.
Teamstar is not responsible for third-party services, outages, content, data practices, security failures, AI outputs, pricing, feature changes or decisions.
If you connect a third-party account or service, you authorise Teamstar to access and use that connection as necessary to provide the requested feature, subject to our Privacy Policy and the third-party service terms.
17) Privacy, personal information and deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and handle personal information.
Teamstar may process information for account operation, safety, security, verification, support, product improvement, analytics, AI-assisted features, matching, ranking, recommendations, moderation, legal compliance and abuse prevention.
Some features may involve automated or AI-assisted processing that affects what content, profiles, matches, recommendations, prompts, visibility or opportunities you see.
Do not provide personal information about another person unless you have authority and a lawful basis to do so.
To request account deletion, visit:
https://digital.teamstar.app/delete-account
Deletion does not necessarily remove information that must be retained for legal, security, fraud prevention, backup, dispute, accounting, audit or legitimate business reasons, or information already shared with other users.
18) Security and availability
We aim to operate a secure and reliable Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, data retention, compatibility, performance, uptime, security, recovery, or that all vulnerabilities will be detected or fixed.
You are responsible for your own devices, backups, passwords, network security, browser security and account access.
You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or security compromise.
19) Intellectual property
Teamstar and its licensors own all rights in the Service, including software, code, interface, design, trade marks, logos, product names, branding, databases, workflows, algorithms, documentation, visual systems and platform architecture, excluding Your Content.
You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicence, reverse engineer, decompile, extract, scrape, train competing models from, or create competing products using Teamstar materials except where expressly permitted by law or by written agreement.
No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.
20) Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “AS IS”, “AS AVAILABLE” and “WITH ALL FAULTS”.
Teamstar disclaims all warranties, representations and guarantees not expressly stated in these Terms, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for purpose, title, non-infringement, security, uninterrupted access, compatibility, professional outcome, business outcome, employment outcome, learning outcome, collaboration outcome, investment outcome, AI output quality, content quality, recommendation quality and user behaviour.
Teamstar does not warrant that:
- the Service will meet your needs;
- content or AI outputs will be accurate, lawful, complete or safe;
- any user is who they claim to be;
- any match, recommendation, opportunity or trust signal is suitable;
- disputes or harmful conduct will not occur;
- moderation will detect every issue or be error-free;
- data will never be lost, accessed, corrupted or unavailable.
21) Australian Consumer Law and non-excludable rights
Some rights, guarantees, remedies and liabilities cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by law.
Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with a service, you are entitled:
- to cancel your service contract with us; and
- to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
If a failure with the service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
22) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Teamstar is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive or economic loss;
- Teamstar is not liable for loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, data, reputation, employment, investment, contract, business, savings, use, privacy expectation, audience, visibility, ranking, followers, matches, collaborators, candidates, jobs, funding, customers, projects, content or AI outputs;
- Teamstar is not liable for user conduct, user content, third-party services, third-party claims, off-platform dealings, failed collaborations, hiring decisions, job decisions, investment decisions, AI outputs, moderation decisions, ranking decisions or platform availability;
- Teamstar’s total aggregate liability for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of AUD $100 or the amount you paid Teamstar for the Service in that 12-month period.
Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, Teamstar’s liability is limited, at our option and where permitted by law, to resupplying the services or paying the cost of resupplying the services.
23) Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you indemnify Teamstar, its officers, employees, contractors, directors, shareholders, advisers, suppliers, licensors and affiliates against claims, losses, liabilities, costs, damages and expenses, including legal costs on a full indemnity basis, arising from or connected with:
- Your Content;
- your use or misuse of the Service;
- your breach of these Terms;
- your breach of law;
- your breach of another person’s rights;
- your AI inputs, prompts, uploaded material or outputs;
- your dealings with other users;
- your employment, recruitment, project, startup, study, mentoring, investment or collaboration activity;
- any claim that Your Content or your use infringes, misleads, defames, breaches privacy, breaches confidence, causes harm or is unlawful.
24) Suspension and termination
You may stop using Teamstar at any time.
We may suspend, restrict, downgrade, remove, disable or terminate your account, content, access or features at any time where we reasonably believe:
- you breached these Terms;
- you created legal, safety, security, integrity, fraud, abuse, operational or reputational risk;
- your age, identity, authority or eligibility cannot be verified;
- we are required or permitted to do so by law;
- your conduct affects other users, Teamstar, our systems or our reputation;
- continued access is not commercially, legally or operationally appropriate.
On termination, your right to access the Service ends immediately.
Sections intended to survive termination survive, including content licences, feedback, IP, privacy, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, governing law, dispute terms and any payment obligations.
25) Reports, complaints and takedowns
You may report content, accounts, intellectual property concerns, safety concerns, privacy concerns or legal issues through the reporting tools we provide or by contacting us.
We may, but are not required to, investigate or act on every report.
We may remove or restrict content without admitting liability.
False, abusive or bad-faith reports may result in account action.
26) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Material changes will be notified where reasonably practicable, such as by email, in-app notice, website notice or updated terms page.
Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree, stop using Teamstar.
27) Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
The courts of New South Wales and the Commonwealth courts of Australia have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory local consumer protections, those rights are not waived.
Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve the issue with Teamstar in good faith, unless urgent relief is required.
28) General
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations without our written consent.
We may assign, transfer or novate these Terms as part of a restructure, merger, sale, acquisition, financing, asset transfer or business transfer.
If any part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts continue.
A failure to enforce any term is not a waiver.
Headings are for convenience only.
These Terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, fiduciary or franchise relationship.
